About me

Hello, I’m Nay, and I’m delighted to introduce myself as a dedicated and experienced nanny. For me, working with children isn't just a job; it's a calling. With over 10 years of childcare experience, I've had the privilege of watching little ones grow, learn, and thrive. Growing up I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, me and my sister used to play school all the time and that eventually led me to working in a daycare as soon as i was of age to work. After leaving college, i quickly jumped in to my teaching career and started working in a number of daycares and schools in my area to gain experience. Once i experienced a class of 18 kids, i realized that i preferred a smaller intimate setting and was introduced to nannying.

Building strong relationships with both children and their families is at the heart of what I do. With all families i like to stay long term or until the family no longer needs my help. One of my first full time nanny jobs started when the boys were 8 months and 2 years old and ended when they were 3 and 5 years old. My responsibilities included structured learning, potty training, transitioning to solid foods, transportation, and outdoor adventures. I’ll never forget when the baby learned to walk, it was an emotional experience that I’ll never forget. I still have a great bond with both parents and children.

When I’m not caring for little ones, you can often find me hanging out with my sister and trying new recipes. Spending time together and being creative strengthens our relationship and i feel like that’s very important in families. When working with families that have more than one child, i like to encourage sibling interaction and relationships because i know how important and beneficial that is. One of my favorite quotes is “it takes a village to raise a child’, i truly believe that with clear communication, reliability and genuine passion we can create a supportive environment that empowers every child to flourish.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Two of my favorite activities to share with children are word search puzzles and cooking. Teaching basic cooking skills to keep them interested in the foods they’re eating. I like to complete puzzles with them as I find it helps with patience and problem solving!
