About me

I started working in childcare during high school when I began babysitting my niece at 3 months old! Some of my responsibilities included bottle feeding, changing diapers, bath time, reading and eventually introducing solid foods. During the summers in high school I started nannying for a family where I took care of their two daughters ages five and two. These girls were fireballs and we used to play all day while their parents worked. We would build ninja courses, color, make arts and crafts, bake goods, read, do puzzles and many fun learning enrichment activities. I enjoyed it because our days were filled with constant laughter and water/snack breaks.
During my time as a college student, I worked for two families as a nanny. During my time with one family, I took care of their three year old son. My job duties consisted of taking him to school, making breakfast, lunch and an occasional dinner, playtime, park walks, and playing plenty of sports with him, plus helping him form proper English and Spanish sentences, cleaning up and organizing his day-to-day schedule. Later on, I became his live-in nanny in Mexico. After graduating, I began working for another family where I started as a nanny for their two daughters, ages four and six. After a year, I was promoted to their family assistant for two years. The first year we lived in Manhattan and a typical weekday consisted of walking them to school, running errands such as grocery shopping, FedEx delivery, personal shopping, taking the family pets to appointments and groomers, organizing wardrobes and play rooms and any home or personal tasks that needed to get done. In the afternoon, I would pick the children up from school and drive them to their extracurricular activities at Chelsea Piers. I would help with their homework and bath time and then follow up with Mom in regards to the children’s day and future school events.
I realized my passion for childcare in College when I worked for the university Child Development Center. Being a part of children’s lives and impacting them in a loving, supportive and caring way has always been the peak of every job opportunity.
