About me

I am from Venezuela (located at the northern end of South America) where I used to teach kids motivate them to develop their skills such arts, dance and drums, empowering their self-confidence as well. I truly believe that exposing children to music during early development helps them learn the sounds and meanings of words as dancing to music helps them build motor skills while allowing them to practice self-expression. Since I moved to the USA, seven years ago, I've been caring for children as a babysitter and nanny. Here's a couple of things about me; I'm the child third of four siblings, Spanish is my mother tongue but I'm so grateful to have English as a second language which I've been learning since I moved to this great country.
I have a degree as a Graphic designer, career which I practiced right after graduating from college. My experience has grown through the years working with infants, toddlers and preschoolers there are an outstanding world in their little bodies, so much to learn and expect from them because every child is unique. Also, I've been incorporating resources from my old occupation for playtime. Love reading and play pretending games like performing puppets, dolls, building up with magnetiles, blocks, puzzles or any other material and a sort of creativity coming from their imagination. I truly love working with young kids, and I approach each child as an individual who I get to help grow and teach. Nothing makes me happier than running into someone who I used to babysit and remembering all the fun times we had together.
