About me

I am currently working as an Elementary School Program Education Specialist where I support all the academic programming for the after-school and summer program. The past school year, I taught a first-grade G&T class at New Explorations into Science, Technology and Math High School (NEST+m) this past school year. This assignment required that I teach Singapore math, social studies and the Teachers College Writing and Reading Units of Study. My dedication to students and to learning extends beyond the regular classroom situation.

Working with children has always been my passion. Throughout my experiences, I have become a passionate, creative, and goal-oriented educator who brings determination to open-minded students so they can have a successful and fun learning experience. I love bringing in my arts and crafts creativity both within my lesson plans and during recreational play. Along with my passion for teaching, I enjoy being a tourist within my own city, volunteering with New York Cares, and snowboarding during the winter season. On my down time, I enjoy reading and diving into the world of books. I am also a baseball fan and would love to visit every stadium across the country. I love to travel, and I am a very artistic individual that loves to draw, paint, and of course still color with crayons.
