About me

I’m a Tibetan and I was born in India. I have two siblings and did my primary years in Mussoori Center School for Tibetans. When I was younger, I enjoyed a variety of sports in school such as hockey and track and field. After I graduated high school I eventually got married and moved to the US with my husband and three kids. I’ve always been good at housework and childcare and decided to put those skills to use by working as a nanny in America as a way to help other families and provide for own my family.

I’ve had over twenty years of experience in childcare working with kids ranging from newborn infants to 11 year old kids. One of my most recent families that I worked with was a 5 month old baby up till they were 2 1/2 years old. I did all the care related to the child such as cooking and feeding her. I also picked her up and dropped her off from daycare and took her to after school programs such as play dates and other activities around the location such as the park, admiring art events, local gardening and more. I’ve worked with several infants in the past and done things such as creating sleep schedules for them, fed them accordingly to their age such as determining when they could eat solid foods, taught them how to crawl and other important milestones for them.

Depending on the family, they have different ways that they want to raise their child and I adapt accordingly to their needs. After following the parents own philosophy, I tailor my approach to childcare on each child. For example when a child throws a tantrum, I’ve done a multitude of methods such as talking to the child or counting down to them to relieve their emotions and rewarding them if they manage to do so. The most important thing for me in childcare is communication both between the parents and the child.
