About me

Since graduating from college, I’ve been involved in many non-profit theaters that have an emphasis on arts education. Since 2017, I've been a Lead Teaching Artist with Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, where I've led both camp and in-school residencies that focus on bringing a spirit of fun and play to the texts of Shakespeare. With the Hangar Theatre, I've devised original plays with kids ages 6-11, and have taught in NYC public school classrooms through EMIT theatre. I have additional arts education experience with Manhattan Theatre Club’s educational program Write On The Edge, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, and Queens Theatre. These experiences have helped to cultivate a passion and love of theatre, writing and Shakespeare in both inner city and rural communities.

I find working with children of all ages to be incredibly rewarding, and my fifteen years of experience as a babysitter makes me an excellent teacher and mentor. As a caregiver, I am enthusiastic, passionate, and energetic because I believe the key to growth and learning lies in the ability to have fun. Among my favorite activities to do with children are drawing, reading, music, theatre, cooking, field trips to places like museums and zoos, and of course, hide and seek. I think it is through these types of activities that children can best grown and learn about the world around them.
