About me

I spent the majority of my childhood growing up in the blissful neighborhood of Ditmas Park located in the heart of Brooklyn, New York City & another large portion of my youth on the tropical Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Growing up in these wonderful places, I developed an early sense of adventure & exploration, art, music, sports, & exotic foods! I attended high school in the busy streets of Manhattan which taught me all of the ins-&-outs of how to thrive in a demanding environment.

Growing up as a middle child, I was able to learn all sorts of new things from my older brother allowing me to pass the information along to my younger brother so adventures were always twice as fun! Having two siblings also allowed me to grow up quicker than usual because I had to be strong for my younger brother so I could protect & teach him, & I was able to learn how to do it all in the footsteps of my older brother. My Mom also played a significant role in my experience with childcare. By the time I was able to go to work with her, she had already been a nanny for 15+ years! I always enjoyed days of going to work with her because she showed me all of the joys of childcare while also taking pride in her job by putting her heart and soul into it. She was the best at what she did, all of the parents and children she worked for loved her dearly resulting in her always becoming a long-standing family with them. Her method of childcare naturally carried over to me years down the line.

Childcare is such an important profession to me because it allows me to stay in touch with my youthful nature. Kids display the most basic human qualities and instincts which can easily be forgotten in our day-to-day lives of adulthood. The children that I look after remind me every day that they are the future and never fail to emphasize just how crucial it is that we nurture them to be the best possible versions of themselves that they can be. I strive to have the most upmost positive influence on the youth of today so they can be the leaders we need for tomorrow. We must teach them to love and respect one another by displaying the importance of empathy, communication, creativity, & resilience.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Teaching children fundamental skills such as communication, creativity, critical thinking, resilience, and empathy empowers them to succeed and aligns them on a path to thrive in the journey of life. These skills equip them with the tools to navigate challenges, build positive relationships, and become compassionate and capable functioning members of society. Some of the more fun activities I love teaching them would be Skateboarding, Soccer, Baseball, Football, reading, writing, coding, piano, and Mixed Martial Arts to name a few!
