About me
With a deep-rooted passion for the arts and a commitment to nurturing young minds, I bring a unique blend of creativity and experience to childcare. Born and raised in the Midwest, I come from a creatively vibrant family that has instilled in me a strong appreciation for visual and musical arts. After graduating from a Performing Arts Academy, I naturally pursued my passions. My journey into childcare began early, as I babysat for my extensive extended family, and it has blossomed into a fulfilling career.
After spending eight years in the restaurant industry, including managing during the pandemic, I rediscovered my true calling in childcare. Since Spring 2021, I’ve built a robust portfolio, finding joy in creating nurturing environments that provide peace of mind for families. Now based in Brooklyn, NY, since the beginning of 2024, I work with numerous families across multiple boroughs through the SmartSitting network. My long-standing connection to New York City, which I have visited regularly since graduating high school in 2016, enriches my understanding of its vibrant culture and community—insights I integrate into my approach to enhancing children's experiences.
I have extensive experience caring for children from infancy to preteens, including twins and multiples. My roles range from nurturing infants through sleep routines and developmental milestones to crafting structured yet playful routines for school-aged children. I approach behavior correction with empathy and problem-solving, cultivating growth in a nurturing environment. Creativity is at the heart of my practice; I integrate outdoor activities, arts and crafts, and educational outings to museums and cultural centers. I am dedicated to fostering curiosity, building confidence, and prioritizing meaningful interpersonal connections through hands-on experiences.

In 5 years, I hope to be...
In five years, I aim to complete my educational and vocational training while continuing to nurture a meaningful relationship with an exceptional family. My dream is to establish a strong foundation for uplifting communities, particularly by creating opportunities for children and women within the creative and healing arts. As I advance professionally and creatively, I strive to expand my knowledge and expertise, bringing my ambitions to life.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I have a deep love for the outdoors and enjoy sharing this passion with children of all ages. Exploring diverse ecosystems—land, solar, and aquatic systems—fascinates them and sparks curiosity about their environment and their place in it. Creativity is integral to my interactions with children. We explore various arts and crafts, from painting and drawing to collages and jewelry making. Building activities like forts and LEGO creations provide an imaginative outlet, fostering confidence and resilience as they navigate challenges and successes. I've had the pleasure of taking children on enriching outings to museums, parks, swimming pools, and cultural venues. These experiences not only broaden their horizons but also teach them about navigating different environments and social situations.
