Do you need an energetic nanny to entertain your kiddos? Someone who can adapt to ever changing environments? Choose me to be your nanny! I grew up in Richmond, Virgina. I lived amongst a blended family with two brothers and two sisters. My childhood was filled with a sense of community amongst my peers, neighbors, friends & family. I enjoyed visiting the library every afternoon. My favorite books were The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister & A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon.
I graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School with an advanced diploma. While there I attended the Richmond Technology Center to study Television Production and Emergency Medical in 2016. In the summer months I connected with church members and neighbors offering childcare services. Through word of mouth, I landed my first nanny position. A family with kids ages 6, 8, and 12 yrs. This position spoke volumes to my nurturing personality. I assisted with daily routines, swim lessons, play dates, social outings, chaperoning and fun age-appropriate activities, development milestones and so much more. When the summer concluded I furthered my education to obtain a patient care technician certificate. I obtained a job at St. Mary's Hospital working amongst some of the top heart failure doctors and nurses in the region. Over time my work/life balance needed some change. I was able to find a job offering a more practical, loving approach within Pediatric Specialty.
While working in Pediatrics I learned the need for a supportive team when dealing with difficult matters. I took pride in being a familiar face to families when visiting our practice. I was able to provide a comforting ear to problems that families encountered. That made me feel remarkable! Over time I longed for something new, something different, an adventure; So, I left my stable job, family, and everything I knew to start over in Jersey City. Living in a bustling city close to NYC with so many opportunities was my dream. Pursuing a nanny career has been one of the best decisions of my life. I am able to create connections with some amazing people while doing what I love. I'm experienced with children ages 5 months olds to 14 years old.
