About me

I grew up the oldest child of 4 kids. I have two younger brothers and a younger sister whom I'm very close with. Growing up as a Military kid, we moved around a lot and my siblings were often my best friends. My parents raised me within my community at church, and I've been taking care of children for as long as I can remember. Ever since I was little I've loved being able to perform. I pursued that love when I went to college for Theatre Arts at Concordia University Irvine. I made it to NYC when I got into Grad School at NYU for Arts Activism. I have been living in New York for 8 years, and I found a love of being a Nanny. Making the transition from part-time babysitter to full-time nanny was the easiest transition in the world.
I started professionally working in childcare in college. During my summer breaks, I worked as a part-time after-school teacher for a private school. I would take students on field trips, supervise outdoor activities and provide support to teachers. I worked with kids from preschool to middle school age, depending on their need for support. I also got into working in Children's theatre post-graduation helping students develop self-confidence and performance experience. When I moved to New York and was looking for work post-grad school, I was primarily working admin jobs, with some Stage Management on the side. I started babysitting casually for coworkers and friends, and when I made an employment transition, I made the choice to start working full-time with kids. The first family I worked with was like a second home for me. I took care of a 5-year-old and an 8-year-old, for about 30 hours a week. I would be in charge of school pick-ups, taking the kids on play dates and going to the playground or park in the city, and homework help. At the end of the day, I would make dinner for the kids, and get them ready for bed. I worked with them for a year, only having to end the time together during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the family moved out of the country. during the beginning of the pandemic, I started working up to 50 hours a week with the family, assisting in managing school work and meals during the day.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I hope to be happy and to be sufficiently self-employed. I would love to be thinking about kids of my own, and starting a family.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Singing and dancing, performing, arts and crafts. I loved doing hands-on art projects or science projects. And in the summer I love going to the park and playing with kids outside, having water balloon fights or just enjoying the fresh air.
