About me
I grew up in Saint Lucia, the sixth of eight children. As a child, I spent my time playing soccer and swimming at the beach when I wasn't helping out at home. I graduated from Choiseul Secondary School. I trained to work in daycare, with young children and to do hair. I have always loved working with kids.
When I was very young I worked in a daycare in Saint Lucia and I have been working as a professional nanny in New York for the last 17 years. I worked with a baby named Sophia for two years until the family moved to New Mexico. I have been with my current family since the eldest, now 15, was a baby. Over the last 15 years, I have helped raise all four children, three of them since birth. I have helped to set schedules for the infants, bathed them, sleep trained them, made organic baby food for them, and attended all the baby classes you can imagine including Music Together, baby yoga, gymnastics, Forest School and Lavender Blues. The children are now 6, 9, 14, and 15 and they no longer need the support of a nanny. There is a lot of love there and I know we will remain close.
When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my five-year-old son who is in full-time school. I am strong in my moral code and that helps me to remain grounded. I also love to go to the park and enjoy being in nature. My approach to childcare is to expose children to different activities and help them to find what they enjoy most. I am very even-tempered and calm and while I am structured, I am also flexible and I can easily respond to children's needs.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to help infants get onto a schedule and learn to turn over, crawl, sit, and walk. I love to take kids to the park and playground, sing with them, and I constantly talk to them to help them develop language. I also love to read to children and help them learn to read and write.
