About me

Born and raised in Yonkers, NY, I am the 2nd youngest of 4 girls. I love playing all sports and swimming. I like to get creative with crafts, coloring, and painting. I am a huge animal lover so I went into college with the goal of becoming a vet but changed courses when psychology became my interest. Psychology fascinated me to want to understand why people act and feel the way they do by studying mental processes, functions, and behavior. While taking college courses, I took an internship at a summer camp where I saw my dedication to child care. I knew I wanted to work with children long-term.
My experience began in middle school with my grandma's daycare. After school, my sisters and I would go help her since our parents were still working. I believe this made me mature at a young age and built my desire for nannying. I helped children ages newborn to 4-5 years old. I assisted in feeding, changing diapers/clothes, nap time, and playtime/activities. When I got the opportunity to intern at a summer program, I was able to assist the teachers with lessons, help with lunch, and take students to classes such as art and gym, as well as go on trips to amusement parks and pools. During the pandemic, I began with a family that had a 6 month and a 10-year-old boy. I fed the baby, changed him, and had nap time and activities. With the older son, I helped with cooking, transporting him to his activities, and homework help. I helped around the house with cleaning, errands, as well as helping with their dog. We even vacationed in Florida where I helped with the boys while the mom worked online. The youngest began school, so I got another in-home nanny position with an 11-month-old girl. I was responsible for feeding, changing, nap time, and her laundry. I took her to activities such as library classes, playdates, and to the park or pool. I worked with this family for over a year.
Children are a reflection of what they are taught and what they learn from the environment. Children's first years of life mold them into the adults they will be in the future. I would love to help influence how the children I care for understand, observe and react to the world around them.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I like to share communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills with children. Activities I enjoy sharing are sports, music classes, cooking, and swimming. I love to be outdoors and explore so I like to go on walks or to the parks. I love to be active and engaged with children. I always like finding things to do.
