About me

I grew up in Jamaica Queens, as the oldest child. I enjoyed dancing, reading, and writing, and went on to study Psychology at Buffalo State University and received my Associates degree.
After college I did a nannying job, and that led me into me becoming a preschool teacher on Wall Street at Bright Horizons.

As the oldest of four children, I took on a lot of responsibilities from young to help my mom out. This included taking my siblings to school, playing games with them, and sometimes putting them to sleep. My first ever job from Summer Youth was at Preschool Of America, and that was at the age of 14. I really enjoyed bonding with the kids, and learning about all the ways to teach them and help them grow. I enjoyed seeing how they saw the world, and It was what really pushed me to continue with childcare. I nannied for two girls aged 6 and 3 year old, picking them up from school, doing meal prep, and light housekeeping, and putting them down for bed. During the pandemic I connected with one of my families I met through Bright Horizons to do a live in position. This was for a 6 month old boy, and a 3 year old girl. For the 3 year old, we did science experiments, enrichment activities, read books, and danced. For the 6 month old we did a lot of tummy time, music, books, and walks. Ive most recently worked with a two year old, who I take to Physical therapy, speech therapy, and tumbling and pick up from school.

My passion for working with children derived from the enjoyment I had helping take care of my siblings. I love being able to help the next generations of creators become the best versions of themselves. As an educator I feel it is My responsibility to provide an excellent environment and foundation for creative learning and growth.
