About me

Growing up in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, I am the oldest of three. I fell in love with English and went on to study English at The City University of New York-Hunter College. I received my Bachelor of Arts with a concentration in Creative Writing. After College, I began writing and pursuing a career in child care.

The oldest of three, my younger sibling and I share an age gap of 13 years, thus I had a hand in helping to raise them. I spent my high school and college years privately babysitting and working at summer camps. In college, I had a consistent after-school position with 2 boys ages 5 and 7. My duties included meal prepping, homework help, and bath time. After college, I moved to New Jersey and became a nanny to 3 girls ( 1 toddler and 2 infants). My duties entailed, meal prepping, family dinners, all childcare-related duties, laundry, and light housekeeping. I have traveled with the family to states such as Florida and California. I worked a 7 to 7 shift but always helped where needed.

The phrase, “Let kids be kids with Nature” really resonates with me. It reminds me that children are our new dreamers, our new innovators, and even our new rebels. My goal is to help raise more nature-bonded children. I have done extensive research on the topic of children with nature. I believe children more than ever, need opportunities to be with each other outside in the world-playing, learning, observing, and inventing their own games-all a key factor in becoming self-directed and inventive adults.
