About me

Hi! My name is Zoe and I am a dynamic, energetic and loving child caregiver passionate about providing children with the care and attention they need to thrive. I grew up in Northern NJ (30 minutes outside of NYC!) with my younger sister Dani and dog Scooter. I was always so excited to be a big sister and helped my parents wherever I could either babysitting for her when they went out for dinner or helping with homework when we were younger and giving advice throughout her college years now! I graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a concentration in Special Education and I'm currently certified to teach in my home state of NJ!

I've spent the past year as a full-time nanny for a preschool-aged autistic child where I've picked him up from school, planned fun activities for us to explore the city and surrounding areas, transported him to his various therapies and collaborated with the therapists on strategies to encourage growth outside of sessions, prepared and served dinner, and got him ready for bed during the week. On weekends, we've explored local museums, visited the playground, played at the pool, and he always loves to be a great helper when food shopping or running errands for the family. I've also had the opportunity to travel with him and his family to multiple international and domestic destinations where I assisted throughout the flight and airport and lived with the family for the duration of the trip. Before this, I've worked as a part-time educator and preschool teacher at a nursery and day-care center, a senior camp and bus counselor at a day camp in NJ, and I've both nannied and babysat for multiple families with children ranging from infants to teens around Northern NJ, many of which I still keep in touch with to this day!

I have extensive experience working with children of all ages and multiple years focused on working with children with emotional, intellectual, and learning disabilities. My dedication is reflected in my ability to build strong and positive relationships with both children and parents as well as meet the unique needs of each child under my care.
