About me
I grew up in Italy in a family of four. I have a younger brother who still lives in Italy.
As a child, I used to spend a lot of quality time with my grandparents. I was very close to my grandma ( my mom’s mom) and I used to sleep over at her house for long periods of time.
At the age of 23, I graduated from the University of Milan where I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences for globalization. I have a passion for foreign languages and I love to teach the languages that I know to the kids I babysit/ take care of. After graduation, I moved to the United States and started working as a nanny in a loving family with two young girls. I have been in New York City for 12 years and I also have a son, who is now 11 years old. When I started working with this family the girls were 3 and 4 years old. I was their full-time nanny. The girls are now 11 and 12 years old and I still took care of them part-time/occasionally until last year. I am currently working for a family in Queens. I babysit a three-year-old girl Thursday through Sunday from 8 am to 6/7 pm. I prepare her breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the morning we read, learn new vocabulary and we play some educational games where she gets familiar with numbers. In the early afternoon, while she naps(which is typically from 1 pm to 3:30 pm) I clean the house, clean up all toys and I do laundry. Once the child wakes up, we go to the indoor playroom (in the building) where we play more games along with other kids she loves to interact with. I bathe her in the evening and get her ready for her night routine. Occasionally I help the mother run errands and cook for the family.
From April 2021 to June 2023 I was a babysitter for two different families (full-time/part-time). One family has a young girl who was 4 months old when I started taking care of her.
The other family has one little boy, who was 1 year old when I started working for the family.
I am a mother as well of an 11-year-old boy. Having a child made me realize the importance of childcare and how I could make a difference in a parent’s life by giving the family my time, my kindness, and my knowledge to help them raise their loved ones.
