About me
Hi! I am Alexandra. I was born in Venezuela, a very beautiful country where you can find the highest waterfall in the world: The Angel Falls. I graduated from the School of Modern Languages at the Central University of Venezuela. I am also a musician. Music has inspired me my entire life, and through it, I have been able to inspire others as well.
I also love working with children. I discovered this passion in 2014 while working as a music teacher for children at the Hospital music program by El Sistema.
After I moved to the United States in 2018, I have been making music and also working in the hospitality industry. Throughout my experiences here, I have applied innate skills, such as being empathetic, responsible, caring, trustworthy, and those I have learned during my experience, such as being patient, organized, and committed to give my best.
Currently, I work as an assistant teacher, and I am also developing a music program aimed at toddlers. I am looking for the best ways to do it through the different online means available and the tools that the Aspire platform offers. And I will continue pursuing happiness by learning more and improving my skills in the fields I am passionate about: music and early childhood education.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers
In 5 years, I hope to be...
I would like to continue stimulating young children's creativity through art, music and contributing to their integral development. I would also love to compose music for kids and share it with as many children as I can.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to use my musical skills to teach children the vocabulary they need to acquire: colors, numbers, animals, etc. I also like to use multipurpose toys and instruments so they can explore new shapes, textures and sounds. I read them books about emotions and how to control them, friendship and teamwork, differences and similarities between people and good manners. I also teach them words and songs in Spanish, French and Italian to show the children other languages, which can help improve their social interactions in many ways. I also like to take them to outdoor places where they can see and learn new things.
