About me

I was adopted in Guatemala when I was just 9 months old. My adoptive parents took me to the United States in Georgia and I I grew up there with my family of seven. I have four other siblings and I am the middle child. I helped take care of my baby brothers and taught them so much. I made up so many fun games and played pretend a lot. My older sister and other brother were adopted as well.
Music has always been an important part of my life. My grandparents are very important to me. I would always go visit them almost every day because they lived so close by. My grandma taught me how to sew and cook and taught me how to ride a bike. I don’t know who I would be today if it wasn't for my family. I currently attend college online part-time. I love that my classes are super flexible.
Other than being a nanny, I am a Disney Princess for children! I work for a wonderful company and make kids' day. Some princesses I play often are Mirabel, Princess Jasmine, and Moana. I get to also travel and sometimes perform for balls in other states as well. I love what I do because I get to make kids' days and get to feel like I actually am a Princess.
I have been working with children for five years and I have been a nanny for three years. I have worked with children from ages 6 months to 14 years old. The first family I worked for as a nanny was right after high school in the summer. They had two lovely twin girls ages four. I worked full-time just for the summer because the girls went back to school in the fall. I would take the girls to the park and to the library and I also provided lots of educational activities as well to prepare them for school. One of my favorite memories with the girls was going outside and using our imagination. We would pretend to be pirates or princesses or even animals and we would play for hours just using our imagination. I think this is very important because as a little girl, I would do this with my little brothers and it helps children be creative and think!
After that, I worked for my second family for 10 months. They had three outgoing boys ages 8, 11, and 14. I was their after-school nanny/household manager. I would assist the family with transporting the kids to soccer practice and after-school activities. I would also run errands for the family if needed. I assisted with homework and making sure the boys would do their chores and I prepared dinner for them and made sure their lunches were packed for the next day. I had so many fun memories with the kids.
I decided to move to Atlanta for school. I worked as a summer nanny for a family that had three kids, a 3-year-old boy and twin girls that were 12 months. I would take care of the kids full-time. We read books, played outside, took the kids to the park, and I would make lunch. One of my favorite memories with this family was getting to watch one of the little girls take her first steps. I was so happy and proud and it brought me so much joy!
From there,. I worked with two lovely families in a nanny share and I took care of a 22-month-old boy and a 10-month-old boy. I changed diapers, scheduled bottle feedings, logged everything we did for the day, help taught them letters and numbers, etc, read books to them, and monitored sleep schedules. I also took care of a 6-month-old baby girl and a 14-month-old boy around the same time.
Most recently, I worked with an 18-month-old boy. I took care of him from 10 months to 18 months. It was really cool to see the process of him turning from a baby to a toddler. We had so many awesome memories together like teaching him his first words and getting to watch him take his first steps.

I am CPR certified and fully vaccinated. I am a very creative person and I think it's very important to teach kids that creativity is the freest form of self-expression. The experience of the first five years of children's life can significantly enhance the development of their creativity. I also think music is very important for a child's growth. It helps with children's social, emotional, physical, and motor skills. With all the families I have nannied for I made sure that I had activities planned for the day at the beginning of the week. I am a huge planner and love having a schedule for the kids. I think this was also beneficial for the parents so they knew what was going on that day. I believe it's important that children have a consistent schedule because it will make them more confident with their daily activities. Throughout all the families I worked with I would create lesson plans for the week and I would have crafts planned for the whole week. Some important things I value are having a strong bond with the families I work with, creating structured activities for the children, and having so much patience with children. I love working with children because I love watching the kids grow and become their own person.
