About me

I’m originally from Long Island, New York but have lived all over! I am the eldest of 3 children (and the only girl) so I like to think my knack for babysitting really originated here. My parents both worked 2 jobs so I became my moms mini-me around age 9. I would get the boys ready for school and after school I would make sure the boys were fed. I’d help them with their homework, and even make dinner before getting them ready for bed. The skills I learned helped me to find my passion for caregiving at a young age.

I first started babysitting at age 11. My great aunt worked for a nonprofit organization that provided housing for mothers who were homeless. I ran the nursery while the moms worked during the day. Though I was only 11, my aunt fully expected me to provide the same level of care as an adult. I usually had about 3-4 kids, aged 3 months-3 years. Here, I learned all of the specifics of childcare. I learned to wash+prepare formula and breast milk bottles, change diapers, the proper way to feed and burp and put a baby to sleep.

After 3 summers there, I began babysitting for family friends and neighbors, which eventually evolved to me becoming a full time Nanny! Now I have about 4 years of professional nanny experience and in the last 2 years have expanded to household management as well. I am dedicated to providing parents with whatever support they need to ensure that their family has a happy household for their kids to thrive in!

I am completing my B.S in Screenwriting through a remote program at the Los Angeles Film School, and I could not be happier! I have had many opportunities to blend my love for the arts with my passion for children and education! I was an instructor for a children’s dance app called Dancely, have worked at various drama camps, and even had the opportunity this past year to teach drama masterclasses in school’s around the country!

Working in childcare has changed my life forever, and I feel so empowered by the fact that the work I do impacts the lives of the children that are literally our future! They’re emotional, and so smart, and so eager to learn what the world is! It is the greatest job a girl could ask for.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

In 5 years I hope to be a successful actress or an elementary level performing arts teacher! I love that I have been able to blend my love for the arts with my love for children's education, and hope to continue to do so! If I'm not still living in NY, then I'll be back in Austin soaking up the sun.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to share my love of the arts with the kids I work with. If parents are comfortable with it, the room is almost always filled with music and we do lots of singing and dancing. I also love to use my acting chops to be as expressive and dramatic as possible during reading time. Other favorite activities of mine include outdoor time, kitchen activities, science experiments, and arts and crafts!
