About me
Julia is a native New Yorker who is passionate about the creative arts. She had her formative years in Silvermine, CT, and Ridgewood, NJ, and has a younger sister who lives in California. She has performed on prestigious stages such as NJPAC and Lincoln Center and has earned a BFA in performing arts from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. She continued her studies and earned her master's at London's LAMDA. Julia's talent as an actor has garnered her starring roles in acclaimed productions, including one that won the Cannes Jury Prize.
In addition to her passion for the arts, Julia has a commitment to working with children. She volunteered with Teach for America during college, teaching 1st and 2nd graders in the classroom, and now teaches teenagers acting at Denise Simon Acting and Coaching.
As a caregiver, she has provided regular part-time care for children of various ages, from newborns to teenagers. Julia takes an active role in a child's daily routine, assisting with development and tutoring. Julia provides structure and consistency to aid in emotional regulation and engages in learning activities such as conducting age-appropriate scientific experiments, imaginative play, reading books, exploring music, and playing games outside while supporting sportsmanship. She is CPR-certified and trained in epi-pen usage for severe allergies, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in her care.
Julia believes in a child-centered approach to care, prioritizing each child's individual needs and interests. She is adaptable in her approach when caring for older children and teenagers and is committed to fostering a sense of curiosity, creativity, and love of learning in every child she works with. Julia, is also, heavily involved in her theater company, serving as a board member, director, and producer.
