About me
I always knew that I wanted to be an English teacher and it happened to be my dream come true. I graduated from Teacher Training College and worked at school as a teacher of English as a Second Language. I received several awards and a nomination for "Teacher of the Year." I was also a mentor for college students/future teachers.
When I came to New York I babysat friends’ kids and soon I got my first full- time nanny position. I took care of an 8 month-old-girl and a year later, a newborn boy, on the UES. I stayed with this family for 4 years, until they moved to CT. I took full care of both kids - cooking, bathing, and doing the kids’ laundry. I took them to classes, play dates, playgrounds, picnics, museums, zoo, etc. I played with the kids, read to them, did lots of art projects. I spent vacations with the family nationally and internationally.
Next I took care of two boys (3 yo and 5 months old) on the UWS. Besides the full basic care, I took the boys to classes, summer camps, play dates, I assisted the older boy with his guitar practice and additional math practice. I cooked and baked according to their dietary restrictions. Both boys had severe allergies to milk and milk products. I learned how to use an epipen. After 5 years, the job ended in March’20 due to the pandemic.
The latest regular nanny job was a part time job in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, with a 3 yo girl and a 5 yo boy. I did school pick ups, monitoring the kids in the park and playgrounds, homework help, reading to them, and making art projects. I was with them for 2 years. The job ended as the family’s situation changed and they didn’t require a nanny anymore.
Since then I’ve been working through Smart Sitting, helping families who need temporary, back up care.
Children’s safety has been always my priority. I have a Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED certifications.
For me, being a nanny is not only about providing basic childcare but it involves making kids feel safe, loved, and important. To teach them to be kind and respectful. And to make them laugh and enjoy their childhood. On the other hand, working and spending time with kids, makes me feel happy and fulfilled.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
Activities I love to share with children: going for walks, picnics in parks, going to the zoo, museums, doing art projects, experiments, puzzles, playing board games, baking and cooking together, reading, writing, singing. In the past few months I became very enthusiastic about Montessori method, and learned a lot of activities that promote focus, concentration, bilateral coordination, hand eye coordination, fine motor skills. They make learning joyful, teach kids being independent and self-confident. Skills I love to teach them: walking, talking, feeding themselves, getting dressed, potty training, listening, cooperating, following directions, asking for permission, using manners, “ can do “ attitude, asking for help, showing empathy, making decisions, sticking up for themselves, good habits, love for learning, being respectful of others and the environment.
