About me

I am from the south suburbs of Chicago, IL, and am the eldest child of 5. I am passionate about art, I've been an artist ever since I was a little girl just drawing and painting in my room. I attended Arizona State University in 2016 and studied Digital Culture. I spent a lot of time perfecting my craft, learning, and reading lots of books.

As the eldest child of five, I often helped raise my younger siblings for most of my life. I started babysitting during my senior year of high school and started taking it more seriously during college. My first experience as a nanny was part-time for a family with a 7-year-old girl. During this year-long position, I handled meal prep, tutoring, transportation to and from school and extracurricular activities, running errands for the family business, light housekeeping, and laundry, assisting with her hygiene and self-care needs, including dressing, bathing, and brushing teeth, and communicating regularly with her parents about her development, behavior, and needs. I then began working with a vetted babysitting agency called Busy Bees Babysitting, at the beginning of 2021, providing childcare to multiple families with children of all ages. This role was flexible which allowed me to choose my own shifts so I didn’t work a specific amount of hours per week. Each family had different needs and expectations including light housekeeping, tutoring, transportation to and from school and extracurricular activities, running errands, meal preparation, children's laundry, bedtime routines, morning help, age-appropriate activities, and walks to the park. Finally, I began working as a nanny for a 3-year-old boy and have been with this family for over two years, transitioning from part-time to full-time. I worked 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday 9 am to 5 pm. In this role, I planned multiple activities that promote his physical, emotional, and cognitive development. I prepared meals, did light housekeeping and laundry, and supported the family's well-being. I also enjoyed taking him on walks to the park, playing with Legos, doing arts & crafts, visiting the aquarium, and more. Additionally, I have helped with potty training and daily self-care.

As an artist, I love to incorporate creativity into my work with children by finding ways to make learning fun and engaging. I believe that creativity is an essential part of childhood development and can help children explore and express themselves. My love of children and belief in the importance of creativity and self-expression motivate me to pursue child-related work. I value open communication with parents and a child-led approach that allows children to take the lead in their learning and development while providing a safe and supportive environment for them to explore and grow.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love teaching kids about all things art. How to keep paintbrushes fresh and clean, painting techniques, art projects, and more! I also love creating new games to play like my infamous twist on hide and seek.
