About me
I grew up in Brooklyn, NY as an only child. Growing up I always enjoyed dancing, singing, arts & crafts, and fashion. In my college career, I went on to major in Fashion Design but took a break and went back and changed my major to Early Childhood Education after working at a daycare.
As an only child, I was always around kids my age and even younger. I always found myself asking moms in my church if I can hold their babies and play with them to the point where I received my first babysitting job at the age of 12. During high school and into college I had a few babysitting jobs with various kids (ages 6,7,& 9). Duties included doing homework, providing snacks or making dinner, playing games, and making sure they go to bed. I then went on to be a teacher's assistant/ floater (ages 1 and up). Duties included changing diapers (4x's or more during the day), providing breakfast, lunch, and snacks, circle time/lessons, and nap time.
In the words of Jess Lair, "Children are not meant to be molded but are people to be unfolded." I always take pride in seeing the kids I've worked with in the past come into their own. My goal is to continue to help families to the best of my abilities to make sure that their children are the best that they can be and also have an impact.
