About me

I grew up in Trinidad, last of 7 children. I
graduated with a diploma and first class honors in English for the Secretary.
Tourism and Travel Agency management and Textile Designs. I taught textile designs for 3 years to teenagers after which I spent 8 years babysitting before I went to England to study Business Management

Before I came to America I worked as a part-time nanny in England with 2 pre teens. I started working with a 6 months old when I came to America. I spent almost 3 years with the last family with a 3 year old boy and a 1 1/2 year old boy in Connecticut before moving back to New York last August. Since then I have been doing odd jobs picking up kids from school or filling in for nannies. I read and play and do singalongs, and go to parks and playgrounds and library and puppet shows with the children. My care was from 6months to teenage and I have stayed on with families for as long as 3 years. I have changed jobs only due to relocation of families. My duties as a nanny was feeding baby formula, making fresh baby food, diaper change, bathing, reading and putting them down for naps, baby laundry, sanitation of toys, and keeping children play area and rooms tidy etc.

I love reading books and drawing and cooking, I like making fresh baby food making healthy snacks and paper crafts, puzzles and exploring with children so their thoughts and minds can open up to explore this beautiful world! I like taking photos while we are out and sending to parents so they can see their kids are having a fun time and are safe and in good hands. I not only see this as a career but I truly love what I do!…I love children and I love being a nanny!
