About me

I grew up in the woods of Western Massachusetts as the eldest sibling and daughter of a single mom. My younger sister and I became best friends from the start, we fell in love with swimming, hiking, art, and an appreciation for nature at a young age. I went on to study at Eckerd College, gaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development. My studies provided me with extensive coursework and laboratory experience in the holistic and applied study of child growth and development.

I was fortunate enough to begin my studies in child growth and development through the Edible Peach Patch program, where I was able to combine two things that I love - gardening and education. During my first semester at college I spent my mornings teaching 3rd-grade students the importance of nutrition and where they could find it. I taught them how to grow their own food and they taught me how to nurture their minds.

Throughout my years as a Human Development major, I grew an understanding of personal responsibility in the helping professions. Working with children of all ages and abilities is a passion of mine, I have been praised for my calm demeanor, positive personality, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. Fostering children's development as well as becoming a motivator that they can rely on and trust is an objective that I strive for.

My work history demonstrates the educational and creative skills necessary for a full-time nannying role. I hold 1 year of teaching experience in grades K-2. Within this role, I ensured that my student’s academic and behavioral goals were being met and provided an enriching environment for them to thrive. Most recently, I was a full-time nanny for a 3-year-old and previously, a 1-year-old and 2.5-year-old.

In addition, I hold 3 years of substitute teaching experience in grades PreK-2. During my senior year at Eckerd College, I was an intern for a youth enrichment after-school care program. I feel confident working with children of all ages and would love to provide a safe, comforting, stimulating, and enthusiastic space for the children that I nanny.
