About me

Born and raised in Massachusetts, I grew up outside; swimming and doing community theater. I originally came to New York to study theatre and stayed because I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else—the city is home now. I’m still an active swimmer and am often found hiking or seeing visual art or theater, too.

When a friend had her first child, I knew I wanted to help her as much as possible; I didn’t know that I’d enjoy childcare as much as I do! After becoming certified in child and infant CPR/first aid, I committed to the role of nanny. Working with one family for eight years has been one of the joys of my life and created some of the strongest bonds. I’ve also been a nanny in a nanny share with two 7-month-old babies and started caring for one child when he was only 12 days old.

I believe that children are amazing people and need to be given the opportunity and support to learn, grow and have fun! After years as a nanny, I am confident in my abilities, knowledge, and training and can relax and enjoy being on the floor or in the grass of the park, playing alongside children. I am proactive and communicative about children’s progress and time and often suggest classes or programs that might benefit them. I feel lucky to be able to help parents and do this work.

Reading! Books are the best. Also, all the museums the city has to offer. And exploring! Our parks are such a fun place to learn.
