About me

I was born and raised on the Caribbean Island of St Lucia where I graduated from High School. I come from a family of 7 kids of whom I am the middle child. Growing up with so many siblings was fun, and I got the opportunity to care for the younger ones and which fostered my interest in childcare. After graduating I became a kindergarten teacher; I taught for 5 years then moved on to join the St Lucia Fire service as a firefighter/first responder and also went to elementary schools to teach kids the importance of fire safety.

I then moved to the United States and have been working as a nanny here for the past 16 years. I started as a nanny to a 1-year-old girl on a full-time basis until she was 2 years old in Florida. I bathed, cooked, and fed, took her out, read to her, and did some light housekeeping. From there I worked as a nanny for 2 boys ages 2 and 5 and until they were 7 and 8 years old. My role was to prepare them for school, do some housekeeping, and care for them after school which included homework help, supervising playdates, giving baths, and preparing meals and snacks. I moved to New York where I started my next full-time position as a nanny for one boy aged 9 months and ended when he was 4, I was responsible for feeding him, baths, taking him to the playground, and other activities including playdates and light housekeeping. After the family moved, I started with another boy aged 16 months and ended when he was 3 1/2. Duties were feeding, baths, changing diapers, planning and taking him to activities and playdates, and also some light housekeeping. With my last family, I started with one boy aged 8 months old, I was responsible for making bottles, warming up breast milk, cooking his meals, feeding, bathing, planning and taking him to activities, changing diapers, grocery shopping, and light housekeeping. Two years later his brother came along and I've been with this family for the past 8 years.

I am reliable and hardworking, love walking, reading, and arts and crafts. I am certified in CPR, Pediatric First Aid, and Child and Babysitting safety. Happy children are my inspiration! I am currently available on evenings/overnights and weekends.
