About me

I have been a nanny for 15 years, providing love and care for young children. I had the pleasure of taking care of children ages 0-7 years old. I also have experience in caring for twins. My dedication, trustworthiness, commitment and love for my profession, have allowed me to have long and lasting relationships with my families. Being a nanny for me, is not just caring for a child, but it is the time, patience, flexibility of long hours put in, the interaction with children and parents, that make my job joyful.

My years of experience have allowed me to help foster early development for the young child, making their experiences appropriate. It takes a committed caregiver to help in the cognitive, social, physical and creative development of a child. I have helped shape their world views and set their internal compass.

I am a very energetic person, and a bit of a playful child myself! I love to engage children through song, dance, storytelling, play and outdoor activities. There is so much for them to learn through these activities, so much to discover. I try to make positive differences through these developmental experiences. I love outdoor activities like hiking, jogging and riding my bike. I have also been active for many years in yoga and meditation. I love life, the journeys that it brings into my life and the great values I take from it. I love people, meeting and communicating with others, sharing ideas and different views. I love to travel and I love adventure. Life is not to be taken for granted, but to learn from, enjoy and explore as much as you can.

I am a professional who takes pride and joy in what I do, and it shows in my everyday disposition when I am in a home. I am a great problem-solver, who has learned to create solutions to daily problems and learned to collaborate with the parents for effective results. I am a very self-motivated person and confident of my child care skills, great in organizing and in executing my duties throughout the day without any supervision.

I love being a nanny. It is my life's purpose to share my experiences and my love with the families and children I care for.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Obtaining my degree in Early Childhood Education, and still being involved in the lives of children, helping them to be all they can be in this world. I hope to still be with the family I am employed by, and bringing more value to my job based on my education. I have an everlasting love for this profession.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Creative arts and crafts--drawing and painting; making up stories that enable children to participate and act out feelings of emotions and anxiety; baking and playing with play dough. I enjoy activities that get their creative imagination flowing, where they learn to make things and learn fine and gross motor skills. Being outdoors in the park or just taking walks helps to educate them in life and about nature: plants and insects, movement through mimicking and sounds. Teaching reading skills through story time helps foster communication and language development and help a child to express themselves and speak. Sometimes children can learn so much from unstructured played, and I love when they just act silly, it helps with flexibility and muscle development.
