About me

I grew up in Long Island, NY, and spent all of my summers in Peru as the oldest child. I fell in love with rock climbing, hiking, and dancing. As I started getting older I realized that taking care of kids was something I truly enjoyed doing. I noticed I got along with them and they brought out the best in me. I helped my mom out a lot with my younger siblings and I am most certain that my confidence in caregiving stems from that.

I worked at a daycare center before working full-time for a private residence during college. I was responsible for taking care of 3 kids aged 1, 4, and 6. I’d arrive in the morning and make breakfast, pack lunches and send the kids off to school.  I would spend the entire day with the youngest and make sure she got the right stimulation, I would pick up her brothers from school, prepare dinner, and prepare them for bed.  I worked with another family after and was responsible for 3 kids, 5-year-old twins, and their sister who has special needs. I was responsible for prepping meals, school pick up, and handling medications.  my latest job consisted of taking care of slightly older children and my responsibilities included taking care of all children’s needs but I was able to expand my resume by doing a lot of home and personal assistant work while the kids were off at school.

My goal is to engage with the children to create a more loving world. I believe that children are our future and with kindness and respect, we can model behavior that will help them accomplish all their dreams. Kids are so smart and capable that they just need someone that believes in them especially when their parents are at work.
