About me
Hello, my name is Nikeisha Persad Ramkissoon and I am 39 years old. I grew up in the Caribbean West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago.
When I came out of High School in 2000, I started working for a school teaching Kindergarten to children ages 3 to 5.
I spent two years at that Kindergarten before I decided to work for the Government in the San Juan Laventille Regional Corporation, where I spent 10 years working before I migrated to the United States of America in 2018.
I started working in the field of babysitting in July of 2018 for a family in Manhattan, at that time the child was 3 months old and I also attained my certificates for CPR and First Aid.
I stayed with that family until July of 2022 and in that time the family also had another baby. At that point, I was responsible for their two kids. I was responsible in the household for primarily the kids and my duties included feeding meals to the little ones, picking the kids up from school, taking the kids to the park and extracurricular activities, planning engaging and age-appropriate activities, potty training, adhering to the children's schedule, including naps and bedtime, bathtime, laundry, and any activities that facilitate intellectual development, such as words, numbers, and enrichment, facilitate physical development (e. g. running, using utensils).
Your children's safety is of utmost importance, I am very protective and aware of my surroundings while they are in my care. I will provide my location always in the event we leave the primary location of the home, I am also very discrete with any information that may be relayed to me concerning the family I work for.
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants
- Toddlers
- Preschoolers
- School-aged (K-5)
- Twins
- Multiples
In 5 years, I hope to be...
Continuing to develop my skills and expertise in caregiving, training, and development opportunities contributing to the growth and success of the individuals trusted to my care. Planning and taking special trips is on my bucket list.
Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love to teach kids nursery rhymes, counting, and colors. I am an outdoor fan, if the weather permits I will be outside with the kids so they can enjoy the playgrounds, socializing with other kids, getting fresh air, and exercising. I would also teach the older kids about stranger danger, and how to ask for help If needed, I would also teach the kids their parents' names, I would help them remember where they live to help them recite their addresses, and contact numbers for their parents.
