About me
Hey there! I grew up in Annapolis, Maryland with my parents, grandfather, and twin brother. I graduated in 2014 from Ithaca College with a BFA in Film and Photography. I worked for a few years in arts non-profits and as a wardrobe and costume supervisor on various off-broadway productions. I am now in my final year of earning my Master's degree in Applied Theatre at CUNY, which is theatre for educational and social justice purposes.
I've done a lot of nannying in that time as well, and come a long way since being on a babysitting team with my teenage best friend! I worked for three years with a family on the upper west side taking care of their two boys, who were 4 and 5 at the time I started. I would pick them up from school, take them to after-school activities, play with them, help with homework, and accompany them to synagogue and Hebrew school. They absolutely loved to make movies, and there wasn't a day we didn't shoot at least one scene of some creative play we were engaged in!
I discovered how much I love working with infants and toddlers when I began nannying for a family. I worked with them on weekdays in the afternoon to keep the child entertained while mom and dad worked from home. He was 11 months when I began, and I got to be along for the ride while he discovered so much of the world and himself! We would go to the park almost every day and discover nature (loved to see turtles!), practice walking at the playground, and play age-appropriate developmental play such as blocks and reading.
I love to work with kids and young people because they reconnect me to my joy! Play is an essential developmental toy for children and adults alike, and I love being able to engage in creative, imaginative play to help them explore the world around them. I understand that children are still coming to understand the world and need understanding, patience, and flexibility in their care. I love to bring my positive, upbeat attitude to the entire family as I work to support their needs and joy!
I have professional child care experience with...
- Infants

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...
I love film and photography and have had so much fun making smartphone-shot movies with kids! This includes even writing scripts and making costumes. I also love art and drawing with children (though I'm not the best at drawing haha), and I recently got into making books and comics! I'm always singing and dancing and love to share that love of music with kids and babies.
