About me

I grew up in the sunny tropics of Jamaica, with my parent and two siblings, my older brother and younger sister. As a child, I enjoyed a plethora of outdoor activities such as playing games, climbing, biking and running. Throughout High School, I played sports such as track and field, badminton, and tennis. I attended Medgar Evers College pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Computer Science. Since then I have been pursuing my talents in the Fashion industry becoming a designer and creative consultant. Through my love for all things creative, I'm able to connect with the children in my care more easily as their imaginations are always yearning to learn more

I have over 5 years of professional experience caring for children ages 2-13. From running errands, and cooking/meal prep, to light house cleaning, laundry, and household organization I enjoy providing a clean and welcoming environment for parents and children alike to enjoy.
My positions over the years range from nanny to date night sitter, part-time sitter, travel nanny, and more. I am CPR and First Aid certified by AHA standards and am knowledgeable of the use of EpiPens. I understand that caring for children requires patience, understanding, creative problem-solving, and a few snacks along the way.

I enjoy creating something new, whether it be a new pattern, fashion design, or dish. In my time as a nanny, I have seen children grow in confidence as they learn to cook from being terrified of the blender to being excited to make smoothies with me. Also reading, I enjoy literature from different cultures such as Arabian and French and I try to encourage all children regardless of their grade level. I love seeing their faces light up when they finally pronounce a work correctly or how excited they get to see a bookstore knowing they are going to get to read and subsequently learn even more. These instances are what have given me my love of childcare. To understand that a child's curiosity and imagination can be channeled into productive activities that ensure that they can learn how to be better people as they grow older.
