About me

I grew up in New York City and Englewood Cliffs, NJ as the eldest of two children. My family had a home on 79th near Amsterdam so I had the America Museum of Natural History as my "backyard" and got to explore and enjoy the museum often. After moving to Englewood Cliffs, NJ, I spent weekends with my grandparents on 66th near York and got to enjoy the east side of Manhattan as well. I graduated from York Prep, went to Montreal, Canada, and received my Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education at Concordia University (US accredited).

As a Mentor Teacher for two Upper East Side Preschools and I am familiar with Early Childhood Education programs including Montessori, Waldorf, Reggio Emilia, Rei, and NAEYC. I instructed teachers on how to monitor playtime and engage with children in imaginative play, how to note and respond to any behavior issues, and collaborated with parents to devise an appropriate behavior reward plan. I helped develop language and social skills, utilizing American Sign Language, songs, and reading skills. Prepared meals and snacks, including those for children with severe allergies, and devised potty reward systems to facilitate potty training. Planned and organized class visits (chick-hatching project, petting zoo, dentist, library, etc.) Kept child records for parents and school, including emergency numbers and progress reports. I tutored students for acceptance into the New York Gifted and Talented Program and was a STEAM Lead teacher.

I am CPR certified and fully vaccinated/boosted

In my spare time, I enjoy gardening, baking, reading, and designing jewelry.

My passion is to help children discover the world around them and attain a sense of self-reliance and confidence through play, exploration, and positive reinforcement for motivation because I believe that integrating fun and discovery with cognitive learning and fundamentals is the key to any child's future success.
