About me

I was born in Seoul, Korea, and adopted into a wonderful family when I was 6 months old. I have 4 siblings. I am the youngest. I grew up on Long Island, NY. I was an extremely athletic child (I still am as an adult) and participated in many competitive sports/activities which included: Dance, gymnastics, track, swimming, and diving, all at competitive levels. I got my first job delivering newspapers at 11. I was the first female baseball player in our town's little league at 13. I played baseball for several seasons in the minor leagues. Before playing baseball, I played softball for about 5 years and then continued from grade school through high school. I played the flute and was active in band from grade school through high school. Shortly after high school, I met my (1st) Husband at 18. I became a Mom to our first child At 21. Shortly after that, I became a Mom to our second child. Being a Mom is definitely one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Unfortunately, my husband passed and I found myself a single Mom. This only made me stronger in every aspect of my life. I raised our 2 children to the best of my ability. I worked hard, sometimes 2 jobs, to ensure a good life for my family. In time, I was hired for a position in Manhattan working for a design group. I eventually became the Office Manager/Administrative Assistant to the 3 owners of the company. I went to school in 2009 to become a certified M/A/Phlebotomist and graduated with a 4.0 GPA. I completed my externship and soon after, I was offered a wonderful position working for an oral surgeon group on Long Island, which I was thrilled to accept. I worked there for 2 years. I've worked at other institutions as well.
I always find myself returning to child care. I love children. My background and work ethic/history has made me an extraordinary Nanny. Between raising my own (3, grown) children and the extensive experience I have, spanning over decades, being a professional F/T, Full Charge Nanny (and P/T Nanny) I have exactly what it takes to ensure I can make the lives of an entire family unit, thrive and be the best they can be!

In 5 years, I hope to be...

Working with a family that considers me as much family as I do them.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Anything creative.. I love the Arts! Singing & dancing are amazing for the soul, so I'm a huge advocate of music for learning & well being. I love the outdoors so I can guarantee lots of walks, park visits & fresh air are in your child(ren's) future. Helping to enforce, along side the parents, basic, essential life skills to the children in my care, is something I excel at & consider to be a priority. I have significant experience with special needs children (including my own) & would be able to gently & lovingly assist in that area as well. I'm also incredible at organizing so cleanups are always fun! ;)
