About me

I grew up mainly in New York but I also lived in a small town in the South of France and received my secondary school education in London. As a child, I loved painting, music, and writing. I remember really wanting to learn how to read, waiting for an entire world to be unlocked, and feeling so excited about it. I grew up with a brother with whom I was incredibly close; and when he became ill, my world changed. I learned valuable lessons in empathy and about thinking quickly in emergency situations. We share interests in neuroscience, art, and animals, and are still very close. My brother inspired me to follow the path of neuropsychology. Upon returning to New York from London after graduating high school at age 16, I worked at a daycare while applying to universities for psychology. I attended Stony Brook University while continuing my work with children, and am now pursuing my Master's online at King College University in Neuroscience and Psychology.
I started working with children when I was 16 when I was an intern at a nursery school in London. I realized that I loved finding patterns in behaviour and interacting with the children. Since then I have worked as a tutor, a teacher, art and piano teacher, a counselor, a nanny, and an educational childcare provider.
My combined experience as an educator and a nanny, in addition to my passion for psychology, art, music, and literature, provides me with the perfect skill set to be a long-term nanny. My focus on developmental psychology provides a strong foundation for identifying and supporting milestones. I have extensive experience working with children ages two to sixteen, both in independent and group settings. I am currently fluent in Russian, French, and English, and am studying Spanish. I am very organized and am more than willing to help with housework encourage children to express their emotions and introduce the aid of art and music. My resilient and kind nature allows children to flourish in a warm and safe environment. I draw my inspiration from the Reggio classroom, and from Rousseau's belief in the importance of childhood exploration of the world.

a Clinical Family Psychologist, allocating time both to my patients and to research how mental disorders cause inflammation throughout the body and how psychopharmacological directions could be streamlined.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

As a current educational childcare provider, I strive to guide the children I work with in exploring who they are and how they interact with the world around them through art and music. I love encouraging the children I work with to express their emotions freely, and to value who they are and what they aspire to. I love teaching children to read and write, unlocking their imaginations, and showing them the value of their words. I love to cook and have developed a strong affinity for a wide range of cuisines and diets. I am a strong believer that exposure to art and music at a young age is crucial and I planned museum trips for children under my care, encouraging them to interpret and discuss the artwork that they observe. I would be an excellent role model because of my belief in developing good values and training empathy from a young age.
