About me

I grew up in a small town called Manville, New Jersey as the oldest child of three. Our family spent most summers in Greece with Yiayia and Papou. I remember playing on the beach as a kid from morning ‘till sundown. All those hours I would spend creating my own elaborate stories with songs and dance and put on performances for my whole family to see. I went on to study at a performing arts high school which led to getting my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre from Rider University.

At the age of 4, I gained a younger brother. It was just him and I for a long time. When I turned 15, a new addition was added to our family, my sister. My after-school activities were replaced with changing diapers, warming bottles, nap time, and a whole bunch of baby laundry. While in high school, my first job was at my family’s diner. I waitressed there for several years and even throughout college. I also worked a few summers as a camp counselor at a local community theater (20 kids ages 8-12). While in college, I privately tutored Greek to a 7-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, helping them with Greek school homework and also creating mini lessons and study sheets for them. When I moved to New York City, I started babysitting professionally. I babysat a 1-year-old boy for just under a year before the family moved out of the city. My responsibilities included providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner, going outside to play, taking him to gymnastics, changing diapers, putting him down for naps, and occasionally putting him to bed. While in NYC, I’ve also babysat consistently for two other families with infants from 4-9 months.

Younger children have always been a significant part of my life. I feel as though I gained a nurturing quality at a young age when my sister was born. There’s nothing more rewarding than being part of a child’s life at their most developmental stages. They say children are like sponges because they absorb everything. My goal is to provide professional childcare and help them become kind, mindful, and loving human beings.
