About me

I grew up in the beautiful Bay Area of California as the second oldest of six children. From an early age, I always resumed the role of a caretaker whether that was for my siblings or our family pets. I often babysat for family and even my dance teacher’s daughter when I was just 12 years old. Throughout high school, I volunteered at the church nursery and as a camp counselor and performer at the church’s summer camp. I attended Diablo Valley Community College before transferring to complete my degree. The summer before I transferred I did an internship with a youth theatre company, Poison Apple Productions, that allowed me to direct and choreograph for several productions of Peter Pan. I moved to Southern California to get my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre from California State University, Fullerton. I performed and interacted with thousands of children at Disneyland through college and after graduation. I also began teaching theatre and dance classes for toddlers all the way up to pre-teens.

I also dove back into personal in-home child care a year after graduation. I have been a date night babysitter, part-time babysitter, and nanny. I’ve nannied for young ones ages 4 months to 19 months and babysat children 4 months to 11 years old. I watched a sweet 1 year old for a family who needed someone until he was able to get off the waitlist at his brother’s Montessori daycare. My duties included giving him breakfast, snacks, and lunch, changing diapers, engaging in play, going for walks while pulling him in his wagon, and distracting him from the fact that his parents were working right upstairs. I often assisted his grandmother in taking him to various doctor and physical therapy appointments as well. I held a part-time once-a-week position for a 4-month-old happy baby boy as well. I would thaw bottles, feed him solids once he was older, put him down for naps, and play with him from tummy time all the way to going to the park! My babysitting experience varies in age but loved watching ages 5-11 for their creativity and play. Duties for older children often involved going to the pool, practicing dance routines, and supervising homework time.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

I hope to be performing on a consistent basis while also infusing my love for children! Whether that is being a part of a children’s theater company or continuing to babysit while also having a performance job or both!

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

Dancing, singing and acting. I love seeing children’s creativity and seeing their courage grow as they perform. I also have a plethora of little-known Disney trivia facts after working for Disney for many years.
