About me

While I live in Brooklyn now, I am originally from Charlotte, NC. At a very young age, I fell in love with the beauty of theatre and the arts, leading me to my BFA in Drama Performance at Hofstra University (2023). At Hofstra, I was the President of the drama fraternity Alpha Psi Omega, President of the Women’s and Gender Inclusive Ultimate Frisbee Team, and an Honors College Member.
I have been babysitting and working with children since I was 11 years old. Throughout the last 12 years, I have babysat kids of all ages (5 months to 12 years). In these positions, I would ensure the safety of the children, prepare food for them, put them down for naps or for the night, find ways to play creatively, and communicate with their caregivers.
In 2019, I worked as a preschool camp counselor at the Charlotte Jewish Preschool summer camp. I cared for different groups of kids ranging from ages 2 to 4. I would set up and break down activities, ensure spaces were safe, change and feed kids, and walk them to their different locations.
In 2022 I worked at Camp Wa-Klo as a theatre counselor, and then returned in 2023 as the Head of Arts. Each summer, I worked with ages 7-17 on 4 different theatrical productions as well as lived with 2 different groups of campers within 7 weeks. This job taught me the importance of conflict resolution, validation of a child's identity, and being an energetic and compassionate role model.
Most recently- since moving to NYC- I have been working with several families in various capacities. I have extensive experience navigating the subway as well as doing school and activity pick up and drop off.
What my time with your kiddo look like:
First: let's get a snack, talk about school/daycare, get some energy out, and have a small brain break.
Next: let's spend some time doing homework or challenging our brains with something educational/enriching.
Then: let's go to the park, a museum, art exhibit, enjoy the route to extracurriculars, or explore our neighborhood.
Lastly: let's head home and relax. We can listen to music, read books, play a board game, or- only if permitted- watch something that we can talk about together.
