About me

I taught preschool for over 15 years and have been working as a Nanny since coming to the United States. I'm Smart Sitting's inaugural Community Ambassador Awardee for 2023, an award I'm very proud of. For the past year, I've primarily worked short-term and temp positions with Smart Sitting, but I'm now looking to transition back to working for a long-term family.

I am originally from Belize and attended St. Peter Claver College for teaching. I taught at the pre-school level for fifteen years before migrating to the states and becoming a nanny. I love working with infants and toddlers specifically, helping them reach their milestone and helping to support parents. Former families have described me as professional, thoughtful, communicative, calm and caring. I am not the kind of nanny that will sit in a park and not be involved. As a former teacher, I can't help but always find teachable moments! I am very hands-on and I bring 100% to my job every day.

Since working as a nanny, I've taken care of newborns, helping with feeding, washing bottles, tummy time, and changing diapers. I also enjoy taking babies out for walks, and making sure there is always interaction with the outside world. I love to engage babies, speaking to them to stimulate their minds and develop growth. I also help set-up play dates, assist with daily activities, light housekeeping, and cleaning duties related to the child. For toddlers, I am knowledgeable about developmental milestones and I also assisted with potty training.

I love interacting with children and creating a safe space for them to play and grow. Children are the future of our generation and as a parent to three wonderful children, I am looking forward to continuing my career in childcare because it's very rewarding!
