About me

I was born and raised in a suburb north of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. I absolutely loved growing up in the midwest where I was surrounded by a loving family, tons of outdoor activities, and amazing lakes. I was, from the beginning of my life, a true performer in all ways. I used to sit my family down and perform Shania Twain's entire album at least once a week. When I got older, I followed my dreams of performing in New York for school. I earned a B.F.A in Theatre Performance from Hofstra University, and immediately upon graduating, I moved to the big apple! I have since gotten the chance to perform regionally and in New York City.

My passion for childcare started very early in my life. I grew up with a large extended family who was around constantly. I took pleasure in taking care of my younger cousins, and being a role model for them, for as long as I can remember. I also grew up within walking distance from my elementary school and growing up, I would babysit neighborhood kids and help them with homework. When I moved to the city, I knew I wanted to continue my work in childcare in any way possible. Since moving here I have worked with babysitting agencies that have allowed me to be a sitter for children ages 2 to 13. I have experience as a dance/music teacher for kids, and also as a child swim instructor. My most recent nannying job had me working with the same kids for almost four years now! I take them to school in the morning, pick them up in the afternoon, and take them to all after-school activities including play dates, hockey practices, and doctor's appointments. They are now 10 and 13 years old. It's amazing for me to see them growing older into preteens! I have also worked as a part-time sitter, a date night sitter, and a combination child and pet sitter.

I've always used my performer skills in my work as a nanny/sitter, and I believe it allows me to share my passion with children, and allow them to be their most authentic and creative selves. I love to use my energetic and humorous personality to connect with kids! I am incredibly grateful to be a part of their lives.

In 5 years, I hope to be...

My lifelong dream is to be able to perform on a Broadway stage. I would love to achieve this goal in 5 years! I am actively pursuing this goal, and am working hard to make it a reality. I also hope to have patience with myself and know that putting a timeline on my life goals is not always realistic. More than anything, I hope to be happy, healthy and surrounded by an amazing support system.

Activities & skills I love to teach & share with children...

I love to use my skills as a dancer/performer with kids. My favorite thing to do as a kid was to come up with dance routines with my friends. When kids have the opportunity to be completely creatively free and unabashed, it is so much fun! I also love to cook with the kids I sit. One of my favorite memories is my older cousin teaching me to make "Pizza Bubble Bread". Coming up with fun recipes and teaching kids how to be smart and creative in the kitchen is a blast.
