About me

I grew up in Knoxville, TN right at the foot of the Smoky Mountains. because of this I love the outdoors and am a huge proponent of getting outside and being active. I graduated from the University of TN at Chattanooga with a double major in Theater and French. While I haven't pursued the arts as a career I still enjoy taking dance classes and participating in theater in my off time.
After graduating I began working as an Art Teacher at the Boys and Girls Club of The Smoky Mountains. I then became a Teen Center Director and ran the program for a year before moving to New York. I worked with teenagers again in a completely different setting in New York with an ESL program. I then worked for 4 years as an Events Coordinator for a Wine company. During the pandemic, I realized I missed working with kids and returned to nannying. After the family I nannied for moved out of state, I decided to teach English to kindergartners in Budapest, Hungary for a year. I returned to New York and began nannying for a wonderful Smart Sitter Family. I am now about to start grad school and so my schedule is changing.
I have worked with children for over 10 years. In college, I realized how much I love nannying when I was the nanny to a 2-year-old girl and her twin 4-month-old brothers. I have experience working with children from 4mos all the way to pre-teens who might just need someone to check in on them every now and then. I am always happy to perform housekeeping duties as well. I love using my creative background with children in my care. Some activities might include- nature scavenger hunts in the park, painting, homemade sensory bags, and baking.
I always approach each situation with empathy and understanding. I always stress talking out any problems the child might be facing. As well to my love of the outdoors I have a great love for books and share that with children.
