About me

Hi, my name is Nicole. I was born and raised on the beautiful island of Trinidad and Tobago. I migrated to New York to further my education and to get an opportunity to find a job doing what I love, which is caring for people. I am a compassionate, loving go-with-the-flow woman, who adores children, yet can be firm at times if required. I have an adult child and grandson that's the apple of my eye. I love bringing my art, story reading, outdoors, healthy foods, Steiner style, learning, and exploring to children. Interactive choices and empowering others to be confident in their own free will, while still being respectful and honoring of those around them is critical. I love the opportunity to get loud, messy, and energetic with children... and we clean up afterward, knowing that we had a good full day. After working as a full-time nanny for 20-plus years, I have now transitioned into the Medical field, where I not only get to apply the skills I've learned but I get to continue caring for people. I work the evening shift and have mornings free, so I would love to continue working with kids. They bring such a pure, honest joy to my life and I miss that. I have an Associate degree in Occupational Studies as a Medical Assistant and am CPR certified. I have impeccable references, that can be reached. I'm also fully vaccinated and boosted. I am looking forward to meeting you and becoming a part of your family.
