About me

I grew up in the heart of Atlanta, Ga, and lived there for the first 21 years of my life. Atlanta is an amazing city full of culture and great music, food, and people. There I attended Georgia State University where I studied textiles and studio painting. I worked as a gallery assistant and sign painter/muralist during this time as well. In the fall of 2021, I moved to New York City, eventually settling in BedStuy where I currently work as a nanny.

As the oldest sister in a family of 4 children, nannying was truly my very first job! I loved spending time with my younger brothers and helping my mom take care of them. From the very first moment they were put on my lap I was there every step of the way. I learned so much about what being a kind gentle caretaker means, from diaper changes to pulling out boogers I was ready to help.

This led me into becoming a nanny in my early high school years. I was babysitting on the weekends and occasionally during the week for family friends and neighbors. My last summer of high school I spent working with an 8-month-old girl and a 5-year-old boy. My duties included preparing meals, light housekeeping, putting both children down for naps and of course playing, walks to the park, etc.

Eventually, after high school, I began nannying more professionally and taking on more responsibility. I worked full-time with a 2-year-old girl for about a year, and then a 4-year-old girl for a year after that as well.

Since moving to Brooklyn I have started working for a family with a 7-month-old daughter. I am with her Monday through Thursday 9 am - 12 pm. My duties include feeding her on the correct two-hour schedule, putting her down for naps which now includes sleep training, developmental play and exercise, and of course lots of snuggles and hugs!

As a gentle and loving caretaker I truly believe I can help make the future generation

better and just more kind. I believe art is a form of therapy and combining my background in creative fields with child care is really important to me. I love working with imaginative, creative children and giving them a safe place to explore freely.
