About me

I grew up on a small Caribbean island. From my earliest memories I would enjoy trips to the local waterfalls, parks and gardens with my family and have been lucky to have grown up with six siblings. Two younger and four older. Upon graduating with my high school diploma, I obtained certifications in different computer programs and became a young mother. I moved to the US to pursue a better opportunity of furthering my education and to have the ability to start a career in the child care field as I felt strongly about being involved in the fostering and nurturing of children after my own experiences as a mother.
I have had the privilage of becoming a Professional Nanny for over 15 years and delighted in the experiences of fostering young minds while establishing long-lasting relationships with the children and families I have worked with. I have been with a family when their son was 6 months old and stayed with them when they welcomed a second son and have worked with both the newborn infant and toddlers. I have also worked with another family and their newborn helping them with creating a sleep schedule. I also have experience with children ranging from toddlers to preteens. Most of the positions I held were full time where I was responsible for everything related to the child/children such as preparing meals, bottles, both sleep and activities schedules, drop off and pick up to schools , classes ,camps. Implemented and maintained naptime and bedtime routines. Gave baths and organized their surroundings. I obtained a certification in Medical Assisting, I am CPR certified and I am certified as a New Born Care Specilaist as these fields are in relation to extending my knowledge in child care.
I am passionate about being active and creative and I enjoy outdoor activities, art reading and cooking and I thoroughly enjoy being around little inquisitive minds that I get to share my passions with while also learning from them in the process.
