About me
I grew up in Cleveland Ohio and I have an older brother and two dogs! I attended The Ohio state university and lived down in Columbus for about 5 years while completing my bachelor's degree in psychology. After graduation Covid lockdown hit so I went into nannying due to the high demand for childcare professionals at the time. I worked with a family for about two years and recently left that job to move to New York.
The last family I worked with had three boys, when I started the youngest was a few weeks old, the middle child was 3 and the oldest was 5. This job was full-time, about 35-40 hours a week. I stayed with this family for about 2 years (2020-2022). I was fully responsible for daily household responsibilities including but not limited to laundry, cooking, baking, dishes, running errands and tidying up. Planned trips for enrichment and recreation such as going to museums, hikes, parks, zoos & picnics. I helped plan out vacations, as well as attended vacations with the family. When I did not attend vacations with them I would stay back and take care of the household and manage the house staff. Organized the children's schedules, and sports made doctor and dentist appointments and made sure that all of the kids had their needs met at all times. This job improved my multitasking skills as well as the children were energetic and needed lots of attention. This job also required me to have flexible hours, organization and problem-solving.
This past year I also worked for another family in the Cleveland area. I helped them in the mornings as they both are doctors and had to go to work early. This job was part-time and I was with them from September 2021- May 2022. They had an infant under one and a three-year-old. My daily responsibilities for this job were to wake the kids up get them ready, feed them breakfast and drive them to daycare. This job helped me with my multitasking skills and also involved problem-solving and flexible hours.
In 2020 I babysat for a family in Cleveland. This job was part-time, for a few hours in the mornings to get the kids ready for school and make them breakfast. I also helped tidy up the house and make sure all dishes were cleaned before I sent the kids off to school. The kids were five and eleven. I also babysat for them occasionally on weekends.
While I was in high school/ college I worked for a family in Cleveland during the summers (2015-2018). This job was full-time, with three girls which included a four-year-old, a six-year-old and a nine-year-old. The daily responsibilities included driving the girls to different camps, swimming lessons, taking them to parks, pools, etc.
I started my babysitting career when I was about thirteen. I worked for this family located in Cleveland for about seven years. I started when the first child was four months old and their family expanded over the years with another child two years later and then a set of twins after that. I managed to babysit all of the kids even when the twins were newborns. This job was more part-time due to the fact that I was in high school/ college when working with this family. I did help tidy up around the house and get laundry done while I was there.
I am someone who loves to stay busy which is why I love working with kids, there’s always something to do! I also love to stay active so taking kids to museums and parks is something that I love to do! I also love helping others and I find that childcare helps parents out a lot when having a busy work schedule!
