About me

I grew up in Manhattan, New York right across the street from Central Park. I was an only child until eight when my mother had my brother. I was delighted to have a built-in playmate! I studied voice at LaGuardia High School and I got my BA in drama at Kenyon College. During summer breaks, I worked as a camp counselor and, eventually, Head of Drama at Shire Village Arts Camp. I had the privilege of working with children between the ages of 8 and 15, directing them in immersive productions of "Alice in Wonderland."

Throughout high school and college, I babysat during breaks. I was an after-school and date night sitter and a daytime caregiver. My most consistent summertime babysitting job was for 5-year-old Hugo and 7-year-old Oden. My responsibilities included picking them up from their school bus, light homework help, and putting the boys down for bed. When summer break started, we played in their garden. On rainy days, we played board games and read chapter books aloud. I also babysat 18-month-old Hooper and his brother Henry who was four years old. Duties included light meal and bottle prep, helping the boys nap, and providing entertainment. Whenever the boys had trouble sleeping, I would take them out for walks in their neighborhood.

After graduating from college in 2019, I pursued a certification in tutoring private school entrance exams for elementary and middle school students as well as college entrance exams at Compass Education. I have been working with children academically ever since.

My last full-time nannying position was for three girls ages 5, 8, and 12. I would assist the girls with their zoom classes and homework. When activities began to open up, I picked them up from school and brought them to their extracurriculars, and coordinated playdates. I deeply enjoyed caring for the girls and, by the end, felt like an older sister.

As a nanny, I strive to help my employers shape their children into thoughtful members of the community. I work alongside parents to establish positive growth and development, knowing that one day their children will give back that same positive energy and kindness back out into the world.
