About me

Even as a kid, I adored caring for kids! Growing up the second oldest of four children, I learned how to communicate with and care for my younger siblings. In addition to caring for kids, I developed a love for art. Thus, I graduated with a Bachelor's of Music in Musical Theatre. Unknowingly, this increased my ability to empathize with and understand children. I have learned how to invest myself in their hobbies in order to build a sense of trust and friendship.

Since graduation, I have worked as both a nanny and a sitter. I have managed the schedules of the children I watch, including picking them up from school and taking them to after-school activities. I have executed light housekeeping by doing laundry, dishwashing, and tidying up the children’s play space. As a date night sitter, I have successfully put children to bed and cooked healthy meals. And as a nanny, I have helped with homework and ongoing educational development by having regular hours to introduce discipline and mindful consistency. I have also changed diapers and helped with potty training. Currently, I am in the process of completing a Child Psychology; Neuroscience, and Development course. This science-based class will further strengthen my communication skills and my knowledge of the child/youth psyche. I am also enrolled in a course about neurodiversity as it relates to childcare.

Outside of sitting, I love playing guitar, reading, and spending time with my friends! I also volunteer with homeless care programs and am always down to see a great film! I hope to share my loves and passions with the kids I care for as well as learn some new ones from them. Childcare is one of my joys. I would love to continue to provide joy and love wherever possible!
