About me

Hi! I’m Kimberly, I grew up in NJ and come from an El Salvadoran background. I began working in daycare at 16 years old and made my way up to become a childcare professional after receiving a degree in Early Childhood Education. Due to that accomplishment, I have worked as a preschool teacher and a nanny. I have experience in both settings and work well in either. Getting the experience in both settings has helped me learn so much about children individually and as a group. I love what I do because since I was little it was always a passion for me to learn and ask so many questions about things I was curious about.

I started my career working in a daycare in Union City. At this daycare, I was responsible for helping out teachers and aids. At this time I was going to school for my associate's degree in education and I graduated. I became a preschool teacher at another center. I taught a classroom of 12 children ages 3-5 and prepared them for kindergarten. I was in charge of making lesson plans and planning daily activities for learning and development. After 3 years of teaching, I decided to expand my experience as a nanny. I worked in Weehawken with my first family with two children ages 2 and 3. I successfully prepared them for preschool and kindergarten and then moved on to homeschooling two 3.5-year-old boys in Hoboken. I was also working a part-time shift in a French class at daycare. After finishing this job, I worked with a family in Jersey City with an 8-month-old baby, and then I have recently finished working with a 14-month-old baby that was ready for daycare. I am great with teaching their basic skills and preparing them for daycare/kindergarten. I babysit on date nights for these families occasionally and have kept great relationships throughout the year.

I love to learn. I am a very consistent and healthy person who takes my health and education very seriously.
Without consistency, I am nothing so being a caregiver helps me be who I am by allowing me to keep my days structured and punctual. I enjoy what I do and enjoy showing children how to be dedicated to a healthy life.
