About me

Hello, My name is Milka I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. I came to live in the United States 5 years ago. I speak perfect Spanish and I'm also fluent in English. I have 1 brother older than me I am studying Bilingual Childhood Education at Borough of Manhattan Community College. I feel that my profession is related to babysitting since both things have to do with the well-being of children and I can also provide them with an educational environment when working with them.

I have worked for numerous families throughout New York City. I have various families that reach out to me and work during weekends and date nights aside from my full-time position as a Paraprofessional at a charter school. I have experience working in a daycare, and doing babysitting. I am certified by the city to provide care, certifications in childhood development ( 60 hrs training) CPR, 15 hr training ( Children safety), and 5 Hr training in children and infant nutrition. I have had the opportunity to work with children of different ages newborns, toddlers, and after-school children aged 6 to 10 years. When I worked both in Daycare and babysitting, my responsibilities were changing Pampers, giving milk, feeding, doing activities with the children, playing inside and outside the house, helping them with homework, reading stories, and tidying their room, among others. stuff In my current job, which is the school, my responsibility is to help the child with everything he needs, supervise him, etc. I have worked full and part-time positions. I have experience caring for children with special needs as well.

When you are around children you learn to be funny, looking at them every day and seeing their smiles is priceless. You can experience the joy of seeing them progress in something new that you have taught them or done for them. When you work with children every day is a new experience.
