About me

Hi! My name is Sophie and I am from Madison, Wisconsin and spent my entire childhood there. As a kid, I loved swimming, doing TaeKwonDo, singing, dancing, playing piano, and acting; which led me to Ball State University in Indiana where I studied Acting with a minor in Spanish. I enjoy helping kids find their passions and pursue them fearlessly. Since graduating in 2017 I spent 4 years in Chicago pursuing theatre and nannied my entire time there. In May of 2021 I moved to France with my husband so he could pursue his Masters's in Finance and in June of 2022 we have returned to the States and I am ecstatic to get to return to my passions, theatre, and kids!

I've been babysitting for as long as I can remember. In high school, I would babysit for my neighbors as well as my parents' friends. I love babies and kids of all ages but really connect with kids in the 4-10 year range. In college, I babysat regularly for one of my professors and loved getting to help shape them into amazing young adults over the four years I spent with them. In Chicago, I was lucky to meet and fall in love with a family that I spent three years with. The girls were 4 and 7 when I started with them and had I not relocated, I would probably still be with them! My job was pretty much nanny extraordinaire; I would do breakfast/school prep in the morning, school drop off, pick up, and after school things including playdates, homework, activities, piano, etc. They were learning Spanish in school so my skills there came in handy as we could practice together. They were also taking piano lessons so I would use my piano skills to help them out and encourage them whenever I could! During these years I was working, when I could, with other families on an as-needed basis; one taking on more of a mother's assistant type role so I am very comfortable taking on other tasks outside of childcare including housework, laundry, errands, etc.

My favorite thing about kids is how they view the world and I am dedicated to prolonging that amazing sense of curiosity as long as possible! I am a responsible, reliable nanny and so look forward to bringing my fun, dynamic personality to your family and kids!
